CLEVELAND (April 4, 2016) – Tony Casanova, ExactCare® Pharmacy CIO, has been named by Crain’s Cleveland as one of the top information technology leaders in Northeast Ohio and a finalist for the CIO of the Year Award.

Casanova is up for the award in the category for privately held companies and will be recognized at the awards event Thursday, April 14. Winners of each category will be revealed at the event.

“Tony has been a guiding force behind many of the initiatives that have helped ExactCare successfully navigate rapid growth over the last few years,” said Dale Wollschleger, ExactCare Pharmacy CEO & President. “His leadership style is progressive, forward-thinking and authentic. Since joining the company, Casanova has led organizational transformation projects that include the design and installation of proprietary pharmacy automation and technology, which has significantly expanded the company’s capacity to serve patients. He’s also leading the design and development of an online patient care portal which will enhance the way ExactCare works with patients, caregivers and providers; the portal is set to launch in 2016.

Prior to joining ExactCare, Casanova gained more than 13 years’ experience in the high-tech information technology space through various functional, technical and leadership consulting roles at Accenture Consulting. He acquired a vast range of global implementation experience through supporting clients such as Cisco Systems, EMC, Philips Healthcare, Redhat, Underwriters Laboratories and the Department of Homeland Security.
